As a result, steel production grew exponentially. Most of the massive industrial complexes constructed for the Five Year Plan were built by slave-laborers, sentenced for trivial and often completely false crimes.
As another part of the Five Year Plan, the government began to forcibly collectivize agriculture that is, to create large scale farms where peasants worked the land collectively. By 1936, 90% of the nation's farms had been collectivized.

The Causes of WWI was for the primary causes of the war was Nationalism, Militarism and the assassination of Farnz Ferdinard and the collopse of the alliece system.

karl Marx idea was the communism he want to free workers from what they were doing.mark argue that workers, rather than landlords, should control factories and farms, and workers would share wealth in a cominism society alos he though that comunism would be used for workers to control the goverment but it didnt work out that way instead goverments were stricts and dictorial and they were often force to workers to work extra hours.

This was not the revolution anyone had imagined. In 1788, the King, Louis XVI, had agreed to let the Estates General meet, because he needed to tax the people to raise money, largely because of the expense involved in helping the United States with their revolution. Two of the Estates, the clergy and the nobles weren't taxed, because though there were obviously more middle-class people (the Third Estate), each Estate had one vote. The meeting was called to raise taxes, but went in a different direction. "When called to discuss national finances, the Third Estate had other complaints to air" (Hartman). Food was already scarce and prices were high, and yet the nobles and clergy wanted to raise their taxes. Riots broke out in the countryside and the mob in Paris stormed the Bastille. It was "built originally for the defense of Paris, it had become a … reminder of the injustices of absolute monarchy" (Fisher 59). After a bloody fight, the Bastille was overrun by the mob. This proved the power of the mob and their next target was the King's castle, Versailles. The King and his family were brought to Paris, where they were kept as prisoners, but held on to many of their powers. Although by this time most Frenchmen were angry with the nobility, they couldn't fathom the idea of removing the King entirely, as he was practically a god to them. A new constitution was drawn up under which the King maintained veto power over the bills that the new National Assembly passed. He agreed to support the Revolution by cooperating with it in this way. This situation remained more or less stable until 1791, when the Revolution moved from this relatively moderate state to the radical, frenzied state under which Robespierre took hold of the country.

THE FRENCH REVOLUTIN:SOCIAL CAUSES

The Frech Revolution the political differences between the monarchy and the nobles came about after the Seven Years' war also. The increasing debt of the government escalated the hope for the monarchy to resume a "absolute power" status as it did with Louis XIV. However this could not be accomplished because of the doubt that the public had towards the present kings Louis XV and Louis XVI, and the public could not be swayed to help. The only result of the attempts for absolutism by the monarchy were a series of new and increase taxes on the nobles. The aristocracy immediately reacted to these taxes as declaring them unfair and would not accept them. Louis XV began with a series of Financial advisors chancellors which all had the intention of saving the monarchy from financial ruin. They made many attempts at taxation, such as a land tax, but each of these were defeated by the nobles -- the Parlements were even destroyed for a brief time, but were later restored by Louis XVI in attempt to gain public support. The government continued to become poorer and poorer and it seemed the only successful taxation was done towards the peasants, whom had the least money. The monarchy eventually fell and caused great unrest leading to the French Revolution.

Copernicus and the trial of Galileo

The early Greeks observed the sky and all that it contained. From their observations, the Greeks believed the Earth was the center of the moon, Sun, and the only known planets at that time, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. These planets were said to be moving around Earth in a clockwise direction. They believed the Earth was motionless, because no one felt the Earth moving. The stars appeared to move around the Earth daily, further convincing them of this theory, which became known as geocentric or Earth-centered. The Greeks had a basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry, which lead them to conclude that fast moving objects were closer to the Earth than slower moving objects. Several people found fault with the Ptolemaic theory. Nicolaus Copernicus was convinced that the Earth was also a planet. Since he categorized Earth as a planet, he also believed that Earth was rotating like the other planets. Copernicus then made a new model with the Sun in the middle. The Earth, moon and the other planets were believed to move around the Sun in a counter-clockwise motion. This new theory was known as heliocentric or Sun-centered theory. This theory is also known by many as the Copernican System.

A frequent criticism made of the scientific method is that it cannot accommodate anything that has not been proved. The argument then points out that many things thought to be impossible in the past are now everyday realities. This criticism is based on a misinterpretation of the scientific method. When a hypothesis passes the test it is adopted as a theory it correctly explains a range of phenomena it can, at any time, be falsified by new experimental evidence. When exploring a new set or phenomena scientists do use existing theories but, since this is a new area of investigation, it is always kept in mind that the old theories might fail to explain the new experiments and observations. In this case new hypotheses are devised and tested until a new theory emerges.

The Evolution vs. Creation debate is often referred to as the "Great Debate." It's the emotion packed question of "Origins" why, how, and where did everything come from 20th century science has made the compelling discovery that, at some point, the universe began. Both sides of the Great Debate now agree that the universe has not existed eternally. However, this is where the agreement ends. As far as the "why" and "how" of the "origin event," this is where the division and contention begin. There are two basic theories in this Great Debate. The first is the historical default the Creation Model of Origins. This theory maintains that the intricate design permeating all things implies a Designer. The second theory is the more recent, atheistic explanation the Evolution Model of Origins. This theory postulates that the intricate design permeating all things is a product of random chance and excessive time.
